Nail News: Butter London's No More Waity, Katie

I'm so sorry I haven't been posting as much as I used to, but I was sick and just needed to rest. So, this post is another Nail News post. This is a purple-gray base with more vibrant purple sparkles. This is quite sheer, the first coat all you could see was the shimmers and a barely there base color. The second coat, however, defiantly gave it a more opaque finish. The picture does show it to be a little sheer, though. Also, please excuse the chips, it's been a few days since I painted them.

2 coats, Non- Natural Lighting

Heres what it looks like in the bottle. So cute, right?!

Do you have any similar polishes?

OOTD: Casual and Chic

Today I wanted a super cute look that was also super comfy. My solution? Chunky knit sweaters!!! I had gotten a few for Christmas, so i was prepared for the winter season. It looks amazing with light wash bootcut jeans and a skinny tan belt wrapped around the waist. The ruffled tee added some chic sophistication to the look. I'm not wearing any shoes in the pictures, but to school, I wore my teal Converse for a relaxed feel. ( I apologize for my hair..it had been a loooonnngg day.)

Review: Revlon Lip Butters!!

Ok, so this blog post is special, very special. It's special because......I'm reviewing my new favorite lip product!!!! They are called the Revlon Lip Butters. You may have heard of them because they are oh so popular. Basically, they are moisturizing lip sticks. When you apply them, they don't feel cakey or drying. In fact, they feel the exact opposite!  Also, their opacity is varying, which I like because you can have a different selection for all sorts of people who like either super pigmented lip products or people who like more sheer products.  I also really liked the packaging. It has the same diagonal pattern, like on all the Revlon lip products. The packaging is a similar shade as the actual product. But, something that really seems to win the crowd over is the clear top. With this addition, you can see the actual product color, instead of a colored top, like the Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks have. Something else that really varies is the color selection. I also really liked the packaging.  There are reds, nudes, browns, pinks galore! The two I have are Peach Parfait and Cotton Candy.

From left to right; Cotton Candy, Peach Parfait
Peach Parfait is a light-medium peach color. It's the perfect my-lips-but-better color. It also has a nice gold shimmer to it.

Here is Peach Parfait swatched on my lips.

Cotton candy is a sheer, light pink color that adds a nice wash of pink on your lips. This has a creme finish.

Here is Cotton Candy swatched on my lips.

Now for both swatched on my hand.

Have you tried these?

Ulta Haul!!!

Today I went to Ulta because I had a gift card from Christmas. I had got some stuff that I had wanted for a couple weeks, so this was a very productive shopping trip. I went today and also a few weeks ago. I got a NYX eye shadow in Golden, a Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Rose Petal, and an e.o.s lip balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew.

From top, going clockwise; e.o.s lip balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew, NYX eye shadow in Golden, Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Rose Petal

I love the e.o.s lip balm! It smells just like honeydew. It also makes my lips super soft. The packaging is also super cute and original.

This NYX shadow is sooo pigmented! This was the only purchase made two weeks at Ulta because I had really wanted a nice gold  shadow that wasn't a yellow gold. This is perfect because it's just what it's name suggests. It's a golden brown color that I'm obsessed with!

This blush is the coolest thing ever! When you touch it, there is an imprint where your finger was. It's also a very pretty color. It's a natural flush, but very buildable. The color rose petal is the color I really recommend. Here is a picture where you can really see the imprints in the product.

Now time for the swatches!!!!!

I've been looking at all the new trends on the runaways for the upcoming season, so I thought I would show you guys them in a blog post.

This first trend is a monotone outfit. This look is best with light colored pieces, preferably white or cream.  It's a fresh and clean look that is available to any budget.

Nail News: Sally Hansen Celeb City

After a recent trip to Target, a certain polish caught my eye.... Yep, you guessed it! Sally Hansen's Celeb City is unlike anything I have. In the light, all the tiny silver micro-glitters shine, literally! Something else that truly surprised me was it's opacity. All it took to get the opacity you see below was 1 coat!

 Direct Natural Daylight, 1 coat
This next picture I did truly out of fun, but when you look at it, it shows really how it sparkles.
Direct Natural daylight, 1 coat, out of focus
